The Toyota Yaris is a nice car to drive indeed. It is a very efficient and smooth running car that makes the life the modern man much easier while he toils on the busy urban roads; be it for general shopping or the daily office runs. However, in spite of a sophisticated design and ample amount of comfort and efficiency, the Yaris cannot be described as very exciting. This is exactly where the Toyota Yaris Hybrid R concept comes in. It is the proof of Toyota’s innovation and ability to make something good old sufficient into something very hip and the thing of the future. This kind of thinking has made Toyota the world’s most innovative car maker and the pioneer of green cars in the globe.
Yes, Toyota is also criticized at times for providing those dependable but plain and unexciting cars, and the concepts like the Yaris Hybrid R are churned out to shut such kinds of critics.

However, Toyota’s work on the Yaris did not stop here. The Yaris Hybrid R also gets rear wheels that have another 60 HP motor each, making it an all 4 wheel drive car. The power for this is not provided by a usual nickel hydride battery but a super capacitor.
All these work make the car churn out a massive 420HP in total that is controlled by the unique electric motor squashed between the engine and transmission gearbox to distribute out power to the vehicles rear wheels as well when the accelerator is pressed. Moreover, the vehicles regenerative braking system makes the electric motor get back more energy to the super capacitor. The key benefit of a super capacitor is the fact that it can discharge energy very fast and enhances the performance.
Toyota is not very serious about bringing in the Yaris Hybrid R on the tracts. The Japanese car giant has also joined hands with Polyphony Digital in order to create an Engine Control Unit that can be activated by using a smartphone to record all the required things, from lap times to GPS data, gear changes, acceleration and speed. All these that data can be fed into the game, so that it can be compared between the real life track antics and the virtual laps.
Thus, though the Yaris Hybrid R concept has so far no chance of appearing in its production form, it can soon be experienced in a smartphone game.
