Toyota Kirloskar Motor, a reputed auto firm in India has noted a 6% decline for August month. The overall sale noted is 15,201 pieces in 2013 August as against 16,225 pieces registered same period last year. The Etios contributed a decent portion at 3,194 pieces. The market scene in domestic segment is also not too attractive at 12,007 products this August, which is on a significantly lower level against 13,995 pieces same time last year.
On the sale figures for this month, a top company official stated that, ‘’with depreciation of Indian rupee and increasing inflation, out team had to increase the costs of Fortuner and petrol version of Camry by around 1%. The present market scenario is yet to improve, and we are now banking on favorable monsoons and the exciting festive period to boost sales.’’
