Toyota Prado was initially launched in the year 2009, and has recently undergone updating to get transformed into a face lifted four wheel drive vehicle. The most amazing aspect of this launch is that, the starting price of the vehicle at the time of its launch and that of the face lifted version remains the same. The Toyota Prado GX is priced at $55,000 along with road taxes and the rest of the variants increase in cost by $500 respectively, based on the incorporations of new equipment and technologies in the vehicles.
To describe the face lifted vehicle in brief, it has an unusually styled front end, with an oversized grille. Its headlights portray the design of elephant’s ears and have undergone a series of updates in its sway trailer control, infotainment and audio control systems and the incorporation of digital speed displays between its analogue instruments. The vehicle also has some good news for big families, as it affords third row seat access that has been enhanced with wider opening of the second row seat. This addition of third row seats has been offered as an option at GX, while has been incorporated mandatorily with the rest of the range.
As always the suspension technology and four wheel drive hardware of heavy duty vehicles are made available at the most expensive model of Toyota. The three door guise has been dropped from the line up and the vehicle arrives in Australia with its five door guise only.

The revised fourth generation Toyota Prado gains new headlights that feature a tear drop style design powered by LED daytime lighting. The new grille mounted on large bars of chrome extends beyond the front bumper, which has again been transformed and redesigned. At the rear end, the tail lights have been restyled slightly to join the chrome strip, placed well above the number plate. Its interiors have undergone comprehensive upgrades, with new third row designs to enhance passenger access. Switchgear and dashboard instrumentation has been enhanced as well, and the revised series of Prado has been upgraded on fabrics and color schemes as well.

Its new 4.0 litre V6 petrol engine would exert a power of 202 KW and a torque of 381 NM. And its 3.0 litre turbo diesel engine with four cylinders would afford power and torque of 127 KW and 410 NM respectively. With both the variants, six speed manual transmission gearbox and a five speed automatic transmission system has been incorporated. Yet another useful enhancement in features relies with the safety features, there is an addition of trailer sway control and also brake signals. The vehicle has been re-designed to decrease the effect of wind and jerks from rough roads. The vehicle is capable of flashing brake lights automatically, when driver drives the wagon above 55 km/h. The Vehicle has been priced currently at $55,990 and the current generation Toyota Prado is already flourishing with sales in Australia.
