The Toyota Yaris is still a new model, or that is what most of the people would say. However, Toyota certainly has a different view, as it is working on a facelift model of this vehicle at a full swing. It is very apparent that Toyota wants to give the Yaris an even fresher appeal to entice the consumers and this new refreshed model is expected to hit the market within the first quarter of the year 2014.

The upcoming new facelift model of the Toyota Yaris is always spotted testing with full camouflage. However, the model is not expected to come up with massive refreshments and the updates are primarily cosmetic based comprising of new headlamps, tail lamps and redesigned front and back bumpers. The cabin of the car is also expected to receive some changes such as new upholstery, redesigned dashboard and some added new trimmings.

Then again, it is said that the next-generation model of the Toyota Yaris is already preparing for its appearance sometime in the year 2015. Thus, Toyots is really preparing the upcoming new facelift Yaris in order to retain customer interest in it as a new model. Hence, the Yaris really does not need a major refresh, as it is going to have a very short existence in the market and will soon be replaced by the all new next-gen model.

In the mean time, Toyota is really busy working on its Fuel Cell Vehicle or FCV concept whose production model is going to hit the mass market in the year 2015. Toyota has also kept the concept model on display at the ongoing 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The Toyota FCV concept is a sedan that will run purely on compressed Hydrogen gas and is a fully green car that will emit only water vapor. Toyota has also revealed earlier that the company has been able to reduce the development cost of the car considerably and wishes to reduce the production cost by half again by the year 2020. The FCV sedan from Toyota is going to a fully mass produced car and will have the range to run for about 500 kilometers on full tank and take about 3 minutes to replenish its tanks fully.

Apart from the highly talked about FCV model, Toyota is expected to bring in new hybrid models including the much awaited next-gen Prius Hybrid. According to Toyota, the all new Prius Hybrid is also going to debut the company’s all new design language as well.
