For all the car makers operating in India, the Indian Auto Expo is a very important platform to showcase their new products and concepts. As the biyearly auto show is approaching, the car makers are busy preparing their best things in order to make most of the event.
The world’s auto leader, Toyota Motor is also readying up to put up its best show at the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo in order to excite the Indian auto consumers. As per the reports, there are high chances for the Japanese car giant to unveil a few new cars for the Indian car market which includes the much talked about all new 2014 Toyota Corolla and the refreshed Fortuner SUV.
The unveiling of the latest-gen Toyota Corolla in India at the 2014 Auto Expo is almost confirmed though the company has not announced anything as yet. The all new stunning sedan has been caught a number of times while testing on the Indian roads. As per reports, the 2014 Corolla will debut in India at the Auto Expo, though will hit the market for sale much later, towards the festive season of 2014.
Apart from the 2014 Corolla, Toyota is also very well expected to unveil the facelift model of the popular Fortuner SUV at the 2014 Auto Expo. The new Fortuner is already being offered in the car market of Indonesia and is thus expected to hit the Indian market soon enough.
The latest generation Toyota Corolla has already launched in the global market and flaunts a fully evolved design language. The 2014 Corolla is much bolder and stylish and makes a solid impression with its aggressive new front fascia, new large LED headlamps, tail lights and redesigned alloy wheels. The new sedan is also bigger than its preceding model offering more spacious and comfortable cabin. The car’s interiors also feature great new stylized design along with advanced functionalities, such as bluetooth connectivity, push button ignition and hands-free calling.
The 2014 Corolla’s mechanical specifications have also been tweaked to offer greater fuel efficiency and it also gets a stiffer suspension. Under the hood, the petrol variant of the sedan will be powered by a 1.8 liter VVT-i motor that delivers 138bhp of power, while the diesel variant will have a 1.4 liter D-4D turbocharged engine that gives out 87bhp of power. The petrol engine will be mated to either a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed automatic transmission, while the diesel engine will be coupled with only a six speed manual gearbox.
The facelift Fortuner is expected soon to launch in India along with the new TRD Sportivo variant for the popular SUV. The new Fortuner gets new LED daytime running lights, a stylized chrome front grill, bumper skirts and new alloy wheels. The interior of the SUV remains the same but gets a new entertainment system along with a DVD player.
With these two new popular vehicles along with others Toyota’s show is expected to be grand at the 2014 Indian auto Expo.
