Following the trend of launching new cars in India by the global car majors, the world’s leading automobile manufacturer Toyota is also considering India a big platform to receive its new car models. The Japanese auto major’s joint venture presence in the Indian market Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced the new refreshed model of its premium SUV Land Cruiser Prado in the country on 5th of December, 2013. Toyota has tagged the new Land Cruiser Prado in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs. 84.87 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Land Cruiser Prado is a coveted stylish and tough off-roader from the house of Toyota. The Land Cruiser Prado is not only an efficient and high performance tough car suitable for the adventurous and bold drivers, but also an extremely luxurious vehicle that takes care of its occupants’ luxury and comfort needs to the fullest. The new refreshed Land Cruiser Prado comes with a whole lot of added features and great fresh visual appeal. The premium SUV gets to flaunt new exterior design features and also get many advanced high-tech features including the ‘crawl control’. The crawl control feature is a system that enables the driver with a very convenient and focused driving experience by making the accelerator and brake operations needless while treading the uneven and rough terrains or on unpredictable and slippery surfaces, thus offering the driver a unique experience.
The new Land Cruiser Prado will also offer the car buyers and off-road lovers the advantage of the multi-terrain select, a feature which offers the driver various driving options to choose from depending on a particular driving condition. The multi-terrain select feature provides many driving mode options comprising of mud and sand, rock, rock and dirt and loose rock in order to offer great off-road performance.
TKM has said that the company dealers all over the country have started registering bookings for the new Prado on the 5th December itself.
While speaking on the launch of the new Land Cruiser Prado, the Dy. MD and the COO of Toyota Kirloskar Motor India, Mr. Sandeep Singh said that ever since the Land Cruiser Prado’s introduction in the domestic car market of the country back in the year 2004, Toyota has been garnering very healthy and appreciable customer response and thus the company was always keen to take the brand forward.
The launch of the new Land Cruiser Prado in India is one of the big launches that came from the side of Toyota this year. Toyota also launched the new refreshed Innova quite recently, while the Japanese car major launched the all new Camry Hybrid not long ago this year.
Another big launch from the house of Toyota is waiting for India in the form of the all new Corolla sedan. The all new Corolla will debut in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
