Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the new 2014 Etios and the Etios Liva. The new refreshed versions of the Etios sedan and the Etios Liva hatchback come with added features and model trims to offer more attractive choices for the Indian car buyers.
The new 2014 Etios sedan comes with the same features and exterior styling as the previous year model. Though there are no changes on the features front, Toyota has included the more attractive dual tone interiors for the sedans lower variants of G and GD trims. The dual tone interior was previously available only on the higher trim model GD (SP).
On the other hand, the new 2014 Etios Liva hatchback’s diesel version now comes along with two new model trim trims. These new model variants are called VD and VD (SP), which are placed above the existing GD model trim. As the VD and VD (SP) are the higher model trims, they come braced with many more features including front fog lights, a more stylish chrome front grille, wiper and washer for the rear windshield, new turn indicators on the exterior mirrors, 12 spoke alloy wheels and added chrome garnishes on the tail gate.
On the inside also, the 2014 Etios Liva’s freshly introduced VD and VD (SP) model trims come with added features and more premium feel. The new trims feature dual-tone interiors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, tachometer, chrome finished gear knob, classy wooden finish on the interior door handles, advanced audio system with Bluetooth and a rear defogger. Additionally, the new Etios Liva’s top variant VD (SP) also sports dual air bags and steering wheel mounted audio controls.
Apart from the introduction of the new model trims for the Liva, Toyota has also updated the interior of the hatchback’s G variant in the petrol version and the GD trim in diesel version, which are now the mid level model trims. Both the model trims in the petrol and diesel versions of the car now, sports two tone interiors. This dual tone interior was previously solely on the higher G (SP) trim in the petrol version and GD (SP) model trim in the diesel version of the Liva.
The new model year 2014 for both the Toyota Etios and the Etios Liva come only with interior updates and new additional model trims. Both the popular sedan and the hatchback car models from Toyota do not get any sort of mechanical changes or updates. The new Etios and the Etios Liva thus come powered by the same powertrains as before.
The new 2014 Toyota Etios sedan’s petrol models have a price range of Rs 5.53 lakhs to Rs. 7.23 lakhs, while the diesel variants are priced between Rs. 6.82 lakhs to Rs. 8.30 lakhs.
The new 2014 Toyota Etios Liva hatchback petrol models are tagged between Rs. 4.53 lakhs to Rs. 6.82 lakhs, while the hatchback’s diesel variants start from Rs. 5.92 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 7.12 lakhs.
