The Wigo’s market launch took place with grand fanfare in the city.
The new Toyota Wigo vehicle seems to have charmed the Philippine consumers right from its first market appearance. The media people were allowed by the company to take a close look at the car and get ample idea of all the positive features of this brand new car that is build to offer great convenience, quality, durability at affordable pricing that will suit the first time car consumers of the country. Toyota’s Philippine wing had put a total five units of the Wigo on the stage to be admired at as well as to be closely scrutinized.
Toyota is increasingly aiming at the young car buyers of the world and the Wigo is launched aiming the same group of audience. The first and foremost positive thing about the new Toyota Wigi is the fact that it is highly affordable. Toyota has launched only the manual and the automatic G variants in the market for now, while later some more variants are expected to immerge. However, affordability really doesn’t come in the way in making the car fully loaded and contemporary from all angles. The car flaunted styling, chrome decors, chrome door handles, fog lamps, spoilers and touchscreen audio system to win over the consumers. The Wigo’s top end G variant also offers great visual appeal.
Now for the primary thing that makes the Toyota Wigo so attractive, its price. The brand new Toyota Wigo is tagged at P 499,000 for its base manual transmission model and P 534,000 for the high end model with automatic transmission. The Wigo is offered for sale in the car market of Philippines in several attractive body color options, namely white, black, dark blue, silver metallic, grey metallic and light blue.
The Japanese car major will also be rolling out the E model trim of the Wigo with manual transmission in the month of April this year. This new E manual variant will be tagged at P 448,000 price tag. This even further low cost model trim of the Wigo will be target at those first time car buyers who simply need a basic quality and sturdy car to meet their daily travelling needs. The basic G and the upcoming base model E are not essentially very different from each other, but the E trim will further cut down on the features offered on the G trim to slash the price tag.
The brand new Toyota Wigo is powered by a compact 1.0 liter engine that offers great mileage as well making for a win-win buy for the first time car buyers.
