The world’s automotive leader and the pioneer of green cars, Toyota Motor is always busy in its pursuit to come up with the perfect solution for future personal mobility system. Toyota’s vision of the future mobility involves practical, convenient, green and clean vehicles that will not only make the daily commuters’ lives easier but will also be absolutely gentle towards Mother Nature. Thus, the future mobility will be efficient, convenient and eco-system friendly unlike today’s scenario and will help make world a better place to live in.
Toyota is thus constantly coming up with new concept models and one such effort is the new FV2 concept that has been already previously displayed by the company. Now, the Japanese car major is showcasing the FV2 at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show.
The Toyota FV2 concept has been already garnering a lot of interest, as the vehicle is a truly innovative and futuristic project from Toyota. However, the FV2’s real life production model has not been confirmed by the company as yet.
The Toyota FV2 concept vehicle is not exactly a car, neither is it a bike. It is a single seater vehicle that can be also driven while standing. It offers a lot of stability and balance and can be termed as a mechanical futuristic horse that will give a very engaged and animated driving experience to the owner.
Moreover, the Toyota FV2 concept does not have a steering wheel and the driver simply has to control it with body weight shifting. To move the vehicle forward the driver has to lean forward and shift his/her body weight to change directions. However, this is not the futuristic part of the FV2.
Toyota’s real magic lies in the fact that the FV2 can detect the diver’s mood by reading his/her facial expressions. Depending on the driver’s mood, the vehicle can change its body color and also suggest destinations to lift up the driver’s mood from the recorded drive destination history. The vehicle can also adjust its exterior colors to match its surroundings, for instance put on an attractive shade of green while driving through a green patch or a path through a forest. The Driver can also change the vehicle’s color as per his choice, as the FV2 features an augmented reality display on its wide cover like windscreen and digital exterior panels.
The FV2’s windscreen also displays the traffic scenarios and offer guide lines. It also has the ability connect with other vehicles on the road with its intelligent transport system technology. It can give prior warning of oncoming vehicles in blind spots and also send signals to the other cars with its high color contrast display announcing its presence.
These advance and futuristic technologies of the FV2 are part of Toyota’s core intent to create a more intense relationship between man and machine. The vehicles are an important and valued possession of the consumers today, but Toyota is trying to create an emotional bond between the vehicles and the owners with the FV2.
