Toyota Motors which launched the Wigo hatchback in Phillipines during February 2014 has lots to cheer as the product has sold around 627 units within the month of March 2014 helping it to capture almost 27 percent of market share among small cars. The car received a positive response from critics and buyers alike due to appealing exterior features and reasonable startup price making it ideal for small families of 2 – 4 individuals. Toyota had launched the Wigo as an ideal city car to manage heavy traffic conditions and compete in Manila’s toughly competitive mini-compact car segment which is presently ruled by Mitsubishi’s Mirage and Motero Sport. Wigo’s official launch was accompanied by spectacular media blitz to make it a memorable event for car enthusiasts and general public alike.

The Toyota Wigo is powered by 1 liter three cylinder petrol engine which is mated to three cylinder 12 valve mechanism which helps it maintain a healthy speed limit of 150kmph. The Wigo is manufactured in Indonesia and exported to other South East Asian nations like Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Though the Wigo is a mini four seater it has spacious cargo area which is carpeted and comfortable wide seats to accommodate five adults. The Toyota Wigo offers reliable and cost effective commuting service to citizens who have to otherwise depend on inefficient public transportation system.
