Toyota’s top selling sports utility vehicle and off roader which has been in existence for nearly 50 years is now being refreshed and released again with same body-on-frame construction as its Lexus relative. The first Toyota Land Cruiser was launched in 1984 as a hardtop jeep with two doors and has now developed into a full fledged SUV with leather interiors and luxurious interiors. This all terrain vehicle is designed to move on rough countryside and mountains due to Kinetic Dynamic suspension system which helps move the SUV’s muscular steel body with anti roll bars in partnership with anti-skid tyres and four wheel drive system. This premium car is likely to be priced at a premium above INR 84.87 lakhs and will be available in four metallic colors.

Interior Specifications – The new Land Cruiser will continue with premium leather upholstered seats and similar leather electronic steering wheel along with panoramic sun roof. Latest version is a 9th generation model with four cameras on rear view mirror to give view of every possible angle. The central console has got wood paneling and chrome outline around instrument panel and dashboard section. With a humongous body to seat 8 passengers in relative comfort the car has been provided with new floor carpets, start/stop push function and overhead console above driver to store essentials. All eight seats are power driven therefore can be adjusted to suit comfort or can be folded to improve reclining capacity of middle row. Toyota has fitted this car with little extras like bottle and cup holders, glove box cooler, leather seat bets and standard power windows with power door locks. The car has JBL audio system which is fitted with 6 DVD changer and 14 speakers which is compatible to MP3/USB and Bluetooth and can be enjoyed with four zone air conditioner.
Exterior Features – Eye catching exteriors of the Toyota Land Cruiser diesel model impress onlookers with powerfully designed muscular tyre arches and widely spaced wheelbase. Front section is impressive with wide hood and radiator grille with horizontal slats in chrome and Toyota logo at its center. Headlamps cluster consists of multi reflector lights fitted on either of radiator grille. Fog lights on either side of small air dam are built into sides of lower half of front bumper. The car has body colored door handles and ORVM’s with automatic windshield wipers and on front and rear with rain sensing feature. Rear stop light cluster comprises of LED lamps which warn drivers in the rear when car is about to stop.
Engine and Safety – The current Toyota Land Cruiser which is a ninth generation model is fitted with 5.7 liter V8 engine paired with six speed automatic transmission to give power of 381hp. Toyota has also fitted the car with its patented Toyota Direct Ignition system and radar based cruise control system to keep it connected at all times. For safety the car has been provided with 10 airbags for all passengers along with side impact protection beams and knee safety airbags for both front passengers. New safety additions comprise of Hill Start Assist system along with Crawl control to manage it on rocky terrain.
