As per the new reports, the global auto leader Toyota Motor is ready to make another example of its very unusual FT-1 Concept that it displayed first at this year’s Detroit Motor Show in the month of January. The FT-1 sports car concept is really a marvel when design is concerned and has amazed the audience with its exorbitant styling.

The second unit of the Toyota FT-1 Concept will be flaunting a different body color than the original bright red concept car. Toyota is reportedly trying to increase customer interest with the making of such models. It is a very rare thing for Toyota to make two examples of the same concept and the FT-1 is one of these rare concepts. Toyota had last created two examples of the Lexus LF-LC Concept. The FT-1 sports car concept is expected to spawn a Supra successor.
If Toyota does put the FT-1 Concept into production, it is likely to be a successor to the legendary Supra sports car. If that happens, then a 2.5 liter turbocharged V6 hybrid system producing a massive 400hp of power could be expected.
For the actual production model, a lot of design changes can be expected. For example, the Toyota GT 86 was also previewed by a number of concept cars before zeroing down on a final production design, though the styling was considerably subdued.
The report of a second FT-1 Concept car on the cars may also suggest that a Toyota GT-1 racing car might be on the way to make it to Japan’s Super GT Series.
The Toyota FT-1 Concept had shocked everyone at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The Toyota executives really got elated with the outstanding appreciation that the concept received and has now got busy doing something on it. As per the reports of a magazine, Toyota has all plans to bring the FT-1 Concept to life and in the process over a highly engaging car for the customers.
Though this is big news, it is certainly not very surprising, as the revival of the Supra was always expected.
The great attention that the FT-1 Concept has received really justifies its production model to be produced by Toyota, and the company is definitely working on something based on it. As per reports, the Japanese car major has already commenced working on an entirely new model of the concept in a race car fashion.
Toyota however, has still not announced anything on a production version of the FT-1 Concept, but its decision to build more prototypes of the concept is surely confirmed, and this indicates that Toyota is seriously thinking about putting it to production.
Toyota Motor has been very keen lately to engage its customers and attract young buyers with new stylish cars and something based on the FT-1 Concept can surely fulfill that desire. However, the FT-1 concept car’s production version should be close to the concept if not ditto to get real good response.
