It is the best feeling ever to head to showrooms and zero in on a dream come true car. Toyota has made the experience even more memorable with the establishment of Toyota Drive Center in Bolingbrook Promenade. A person who explored the center said it was a free space for the public to test drive any car parked in the dealership unit. The vehicles on display are Highlander, 4Runner, Camry, and new Tundra. The person who explored the magical free space test drive journey spoke about his experience.
The encounter is similar to the test ride of Chicago Auto Show; although he never got to absorb the feeling at the auto show he enjoyed the feel of the Toyota Drive Center. It was like driving on real road situations, and he got to see the effect of the car in normal road traffic scenario. It is not anywhere close to the stuffed test drive situation in dealerships; consumers can actually feel the rhythm of a perfect road atmosphere.
The person drove two vehicles before the street became packed; the first was the 2014 Toyota Tundra Platinum Crew Max. It is a huge full sized pickup truck filled with various elements of luxury in the form of six and half foot bed, four large doors, big interactive screen and premium leather. The other higher up model is inspired by the 1794 western piece. It is the biggest can with ample cabin room and full size doors. It looks like the ancient Chevrolet Avalanche with a SUV inspired cabin and open bed at the rear.
The person relates his experience with GM trucks to his childhood when he grew up with GM trucks lined up to form a single cab unit. The new Tundra is a marvel like any other lavish car in the market. It is filled with exotic comfort, just like the pleasures of driving a Toyota Avalon. He browsed through every nook and corner of the truck with his wife at the back. Everything about the vehicle is perfect in terms of gigantic powers of 401 pound feet of torque and 381 hp caused by the super efficient 5.7 liter iForce engine. He did a complete turnaround with the car to measure the power of turning radius.
A Toyota official said that the truck is engineering from inside out; the initiative was to emerge with a product that catered to families and bounce into stop or go traffic conditions. The truck is loaded with power and much of the credit is attributed to box on frame. A feature to watch out for is the huge towing mirrors that can be lengthened to view a greater segment of the road. The mirrors have heating amenities. The person test drove the new Toyota Camry SE stuffed with features and sportiness.
The Toyota Drive Center at Bolingbrook Promenade sounds like loads of fun, anyone can just test drive a car of their choice for kilometers at a stretch. It will be interesting if such a system is designed in India. There is very little room for free road space in the country. If a long free test drive center is introduced, people can get to experience the thrills of efficient lane drive.
