The all-new 2016 Toyota Fortuner has been caught spied again in Thailand while the vehicle was about its regular test rounds, which it is doing more extensively recently. The next generation model of the Fortuner which is the leading model in the premium SUV segment in India is now being tested extensively, as it prepares for its launch in the Southeast Asian markets in 2015.

The all new Toyota Fortuner is reported to be flaunting the new styling from the house of Toyota and will features lots of new features. The all new 2016 Fortuner will also be a considerably lighter model than the current model thanks to the vehicle’s new ladder frame chassis that the company has endowed on the vehicle. The all new Fortuner shares its platform with the upcoming all new Hilux pickup truck. Both the all new vehicles from the Japanese car major will be powered by the newly developed petrol as well diesel motors.
As per the recently taken spy shots, the all new 2016 Fortuner can be seen to be almost retaining its old dimensions as well as the overall stance. However, the next-gen vehicle model will be flaunting and entirely new front face as well as a totally revamped rear design. When the exterior styling features are concerned, the vehicle’s all new headlights as well as tail lights look very sharp and attractive with an aggressive visual appeal. The new model of the SUV also seems to add some extra bling factor to it by implementing loads of new chrome styling elements as compared against the current model.
As far as the interior features are concerned, the 2016 Toyota Fortuner will be offering a completely overhauled dashboard design, while a whole host of new equipments are also expected to be offered.
The all new 2016 Toyota Fortuner is expected to be launched in the Indian car market sometime in the year 2016 in order to compete with the many new premium SUVs that will be launching in India in the coming few years’ time. The Toyota Fortuner is the undisputed leader of the high-end SUV segment of India, while the segment is getting highly competitive over the passing time as more and more car makers are launching premium SUVs in India.
While the all new 2016 Toyota Fortuner still has time to launch in the domestic car market of India, the Japanese car maker’s Indian wing Toyota Kirloskar Motor will be launching two new variants of the Fortuner in India in the mean time to keep the customer interest intact. One of these new Fortuner variants will be an entry level model powered by a 2.5 liter diesel mill, while the other will the new top-end model powered by a potent 3 liter motor coupled with an automatic transmission gearbox and 4×4 drive system.
The all new Toyota Fortuner will compete with the Ford Endeavour, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Chevrolet Captiva and the others.
