The Indian unit of the acclaimed Japanese headquartered firm, Isuzu Motors Limited, is working to fight the fierce competition. Its competitor on mind is Toyota. Isuzu is building a seven seat MPV to fight the arch battle with next-gen Toyota Innova, the car is christened RU30.

Innova is a legendary MPV, it has ruled the kingdom for years, and Isuzu has not exposed the core features of the vehicle. The manufacturing process is happening at the established Sri City Tada unit in Andhra Pradesh. Isuzu has invested a massive Rs 3,000 crore to construct this unit, once the building is finalized, Isuzu will commence production operations on D-Max pickup truck and MU-7 SUV.
Although the plant is not ready Isuzu has started the operation process, the assembly procedure is happening at the established Hindustan Motor unit in Chennai. The allotted located is given on a temporary contract basis. The Managing Director and President of Isuzu Motors India, Takashi Kikuchi said, ‘’the firm is keen to target 80% localization of its products and hopes to achieve it in the coming two years.
The festive season is soon approaching; Isuzu plans to launch RU30 around the time of Diwali in 2016. To be on par with next-gen Innova competition, Isuzu hopes to release 40,000 pieces of RU30 and the company hopes to gain significant export volumes with the car.
The Indian auto market is fuming with competition; companies are working on the areas of cost-effectiveness and contemporary styling. The next-gen Innova is going to be hard to beat; its fashion statement is superior to its predecessor. The interesting new characteristics of the vehicle are new chrome covered grille, imaginatively styled flared headlights, which is artier than the previous model. The similarities of both cars lies in size of windows and doors, the structure of window rake is similar as well. The variation in size of windows and doors is visible past C-Pillar section, it is bigger in size and so is the interior space.
Toyota has emerged with a signature build formula; the 2016 Innova is constructed on a novel ladder frame platform. The company plans to use new engines to render optimum transmission of power, the increase drive rhythm, reports say the company might couple the diesel car with automatic transmission gearbox.
Like RU30, the launch date of Innova is around 2016, Toyota is emphasizing on Asian markets to push profits. The production procedure is happening at the reputed Bidadi unit in Karnataka. Innova is a competition inspiration; Isuzu has to strategize a world class design, comfort and engine formula to out beat 2016 Innova. The expected price range of next-gen Innova is Rs 9 to 15 lakhs. It’s going to be a battle between two Japanese firms, and an interesting one, because both firms use high-end technology and business solutions.
Innova is a common sight on Indian roads, if RU30 is close to its rivalry; it is going to be a stellar piece.
