Toyota has managed to out beat even the worldwide luxury brand Volkswagen with the sale of 7.40 million units, and General Motors is the third biggest seller during the Q3 period with 7.372 million units. Toyota is also a leader of half yearly profits with sale of 5.1 million units.

Toyota has won marvelous acclaim at global level by recording highest profits in Q3. The position of the Indian unit of the reputed parent Japanese firm, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been dull, the company months ago launched its signature Etios Cross car, and it did not do any desired profit yielding justice.

It is a remarkable outcome of Toyota to top the global sale charts till Q3, especially during a phase when the world is battling recession. The company has incorporated trendiness in every segment visible on Yaris, Corolla Altis, Sienna, Hilux, Fortuner and Innova. It is a hallmark to outdo powerful esteemed brands of General Motors and Volkswagen.

Although Toyota’s position in global segment has been fruitful, it has sustained its profit driving power in India. Toyota considers Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatch to be major profit drivers, and it has indulged in a new line of creativity lately visible on Etios liva cross and new Corolla Altis, which is a premium transformation of the past.

The brand value of Toyota in India has been strong, but the company has been under the crux of weakened economy. To be in tune with the heated competition, the company is working on a new Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback facelift. There is also a new Innova facelift car in the making to overpower the dominancy of the latest MPV best seller Mobilio.

Toyota has earned vast market share in sedan segment with Corolla Altis, which is a source of inspiration to Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the all new Honda City. To strengthen the profit outcome of the mid size sedan segment, the company is working on a new Vios sedan, which is a global best seller.  Its high seller in Indian SUV segment is Fortuner, to enhance the profit drive of this sector, the firm is building a new Rush car. The scheduled arrival date of Vios is 2014 November and Rush will launch in 2015 January.

The company is indeed working out various strategies to enhance its profit drive outcome in India. The presence of newcomers Etios and Etios Liva facelift, new Vios will build consumer excitement levels towards Toyota brand. It will be interesting to observe the sale outcome of Toyota in the near future.
