Toyota’s strong product portfolio lies in Etios Liva hatch and Etios sedan, and heaps of export fortunes was generated on Etios alone with sale of 1,500 units. Despite the lower than previous year profits, the market has shown scope for higher growths. A 4.46% domestic growth is a positive sign, indicating a pathway to recovery.

On the sale performance, Raja N, the Senior Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, ‘’ We have noted growth in domestic sector in the month, and the industry has begun to show some signs of revival. The positive market sentiment coupled with festive season is an admirable platform to boost sales.

The car market in India has gone through a rough phase for two successive years mainly because recession hit the economy harder than before. Toyota succumbed to the weak economy, and earlier its key selling products were Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatch. Over the past few months, the company has indulged in new launches, with the arrival of Etios Cross and all new Corolla Altis.

The new Corolla Altis and Etios Cross generated a new form of excitement; Etios Cross is a rugged form of Etios Liva hatch covered in aggressive cross material, visible on side black cladding. The other factors that highlighted its true country side cross identity is silver roof rails and bull bar. The new Altis is a bigger excitement of the past, the already super lavish Corolla now has a more premium dressing. The interior décor is mind blowing and first rate and the feeling of luxury is unmatched.

Among the luxurious big cars, the best sellers are Fortuner sport utility vehicle and Innova multi-purpose vehicle. Although successful, Toyota has to yet watch its competition. The Innova and Fortuner may have been best sellers for years, but the rivalry has just boiled up to a new level. The main threat for Innova is Honda Mobilio, which is already in huge demand, in just a couple of months post launch, over 20,000 units are booked.

To drift past the steaming competition Toyota is working on 2016 Innova and Fortuner model. From the details of spied Innova, the car is going to sport a superior fashion statement, with new inventively styled trapezoidal grille and a sharper body, and reports say the new 2016 Innova car is better looking than the current one. The new Fortuner is going to be a splendid refreshing car, more so than the present one. The three slat grille is replaced with a better looking two slat frame. The overall body structure of the car is retained, and the originality is visible on wheel arches, engine bay and lengthy front.

From the profit chart of 2014 September, it is evident that Toyota is on the road to recovery, and consumers will surely be excited to dwell into a better looking Innova and Fortuner.
