Toyota has conquered the depths of eco-friendly car technology with its Prius and Camry hybrid cars. The Indian segment of the established parent Japanese firm, Toyota Kirloskar Motor lately celebrated the first anniversary of Camry hybrid in India. Camry hybrid is the first indigenous product in the country and according to the company; Camry contributes 75% of overall sales.
Toyota is the first firm to develop the Prius hybrid vehicle for global markets; Camry has the looks and technology. With impactful automobile solutions and innovation Toyota aims to be a leader of future mobility and establish eco-friendly communities and cars. Toyota has achieved a milestone profit with the car with the sale of over 7 million units in October.
Camry is fitted with an efficient 2.5 liter petrol engine connected with an electric motor. The fierce petrol engine generates 213Nm and 157.8bhp and the electric mill gives out 270Nm and 141.1bhp. The maximum power extraction output is 202.2bhp and the vehicle is engineered with the advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive technology that effectively switches between petrol and electric power to maintain efficient mileage rhythm.
