The phrase Mirai sounds catchy and high-tech; it surely is and means ‘future’ in Japanese. The engine power of the car is similar to Prius, the electric engine generates 247lb ft torque and the fuel cell tank churns 153hp, and the highest attainable speed is 111mph. The acceleration power of the car is fierce; it covers a distance of 0 to 60 in only 9 seconds.

Price:

Toyota plans to first test the extent of consumer adaptability, before offering the car to the public. The company will roll out 200 units first in California, to customers who are certain and confident of efficiently driving the car, by 2017 the firm expects to produce 3000 Mirai cars.
