The Toyota Innova has been a long time bestselling vehicle and is considered to be a highly refined, comfortable and reliable MPV in India. With the passing time, the market competition has really become intense and the very popular Innova is also hard pressed in terms of its supremacy in its own segment. Thus, Toyota is preparing the next generation model of this great MPV. The all new 2016 Toyota Innova has been getting spotted testing on the Indian roads for some time now, and has been regularly making news with several spy pictures.
Now, a fresh set of spy images has been splashed on the internet revealing much more about the upcoming next-gen Toyota Innova. The all new Innova’s test prototype model has been caught this time around, leaking out the interiors of the vehicle. The new spy shots show that the all new Innova is set to charm its fans further with a new stylish design for the cabin ditching the reserve old styling.
The latest set of spy images were snapped and exposed by an auto website. The spy cameramen spotted the test mule of the all new Innova while the vehicle was busy testing on the roads of the suburbs of Bangalore city, where Toyota’s twin facilities are located. As usual, the vehicle was caught with full camouflage in place.
As per the latest spy shots, the next-gen Toyota Innova seems to have be endowed with a new contemporary and stylish interiors with more up-market materials and finish as compared against the ongoing model. Although the spy pictures of the Innova’s interiors are pretty blurry, these reveal a new dual-tone cabin with a large touchscreen for the infotainment system and a new 3-spoke steering wheel.
The many spy shots over the time have already revealed that the all new Innova is going to feature new exterior design with fresh bumper design and larger windshield making it look more muscular and aggressive than before. It is also expected to have a highly stylized new face and it also seems to have grown in size.
Under the hood, the all new Innova is likely to be equipped with the same engine as the existing model. However, it is expected to be tweaked to offer better performance and fuel efficiency. Toyota India has maintained a strict mum about the next-gen Innova, but it is also speculated that the new Innova could also be equipped with a new diesel motor.
The all new Toyota Innova is likely to have its world premiere in 2015 and is expected to be launched in India by the year 2016. The next-gen Innova is expected to be priced at around Rs. 9 lakhs slab.
