The 2015 Geneva Motor Show started off on a grand note and the public was stunned by two spectacular sedans designed by Toyota, the new Avensis and Auris facelift. The vision behind the new Avensis launch is to fight the arch battle with Ford Mondeo. The attractiveness of it is engraved on the aggressively styled bumper, professionally sculpted angular headlights filled with radiating LED daytime running lights.
The side of the new Avensis facelift is trendy and the design dynamics is parallel to present model, the rear view is trendy as well and the impressive aesthetics is contributed by tail gate, re-worked rear bumper and refreshed tail lights. The inner décor is marvelously grand filled with top quality décor and equipments, and packed with advanced technology as well and has the innovative Safety Sense collision system.
The car will run on a couple of new diesel engines, a potent 2.0 liter D-4D engine that gives out 320Nm and 114bhp. There is a 1.5 liter D-4D mill as well that churns 270Nm and 110bhp. The new Avensis is among the most sophisticated and classy looking car of the D segment sedan category. The design process happened at the prestigious Toyota Research and Development centre in Belgium.
The factors that make the new Avensis facelift a highly appreciated car from inside out is the installation of a state-of-the art 4.2 inch color TFT display, restructured steering wheel garnished with satin chrome accents, refurbished bumpers and trendy 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels.
Now coming to Toyota Auris facelift, it is an exquisite product from the past and the selling features are high-end safety, premium interiors, and professionally carved exteriors. The front end has a sharper design structure different the first product launched in 2013, the styling of the grille is more professional filled with sparkling chrome, and on the rear is a upgraded tail light and re-worked bumper.
The inner décor of Auris facelift is up-market, and the quality of equipment is first rate filled with new technology. Toyota has launched pioneering Safety Sense safety pack equipment and it has rear cross traffic detection and ground-breaking radar cruise-control. The engine power of the car is remarkable with a powerful 1.6 liter diesel engine that churns 270Nm torque and 110bhp power energies and there is a 1.2 liter turbo petrol mill that yields 185Nm torque and 114 bhp power. The engines are engineered in accordance with stringent Euro 6 norms.
The Geneva Motor Show is among the most prestigious auto events, and auto enthusiasts who are in awe of the event, should attend it at least once in a lifetime, to have a crystal clear view into the spectacular world of automobile design and technology. How exciting it would have been to view the new Auris and Avensis facelift at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The two cars are incredible new products to own packed with exemplary style, comfort and technology.
The company has not said anything about an Indian launch, but the Vios is coming into the country and the expected arrival period is end of 2015.
