Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian arm of Toyota Motor Corp based in Japan is building a new Hiace MPV car. It was a sight of grand attraction at the prestigious 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, and was also portrayed at the 2015 Bus and Special Vehicle Show event in Delhi. Hiace is a fashionable ten seat car. The car was spied again before its actual arrival.
The company has acquired great fame with its Innova multi-purpose vehicle, and now there is a Hiace vehicle to look forward to and the expected arrival period is mid 2015. Toyota will construct the vehicle from the same platform as Hilux or Fortuner and Innova. The spectacular ten seat vehicle is already in huge demand, and according to reports, the company has orders waiting from 140 countries.
The vision behind the introduction of Hiace in India is to strengthen the luxury taxi industry and cater to fleet owners. The average price range is Rs 40 lakhs, the vehicle is equipped with an efficient 3.0 liter power train that yields 300Nm torque and 134bhp power and linked to four speed automatic manual transmission gearbox.
How exciting is it to learn of the entry of new Hiace product into India and it is richly feature packed and has dual front airbags, ABS, driver fatigue monitor, Sonar parking, blind spot alert, reversing camera, rear defogger, power windows and power steering. The car will also be equipped with a state-of-the art audio system with USB and CD connectivity.
