Toyota has immense respect in the international car market which it has earned through constantly churning out high quality passenger cars laced with immensely innovative features and technologies. Recently, the company decided to launch the limited edition version of its one of the most successful passenger cars, Etios. However, the car is no less than any other in the market but time to time innovations are required in order to stay in the game. Otherwise the throat cut competition will bring you down and you have to struggle hard to make up for the lost profits. And Toyota, being known as the ‘Consumer’s company’ has proved once again that it indeed deserve the tag.
The demand was to install a touchscreen infotainment system in the Etios model of Toyota, and part reason was the fact that most vehicles in the same category are beginning to provide the same with their top trims while in a few of them the touchscreen infotainment system comes as standard for all the trims. So, acting promptly in order to hold and further strengthen its position in the car market the company will be bringing a limited edition version of the Etios and will lace it with the highly desired system.
Just last week a report suggested that Hyundai, the Korean carmaker has installed the touchscreen system in the Verna, Elite i20 and Active i20 which was much ahead of its contemporaries. And to tackle the growing popularity of Hyundai, Toyota decided to install the touchscreen system in the much anticipated Etios and added the word Xclusive. The ex showroom (New Delhi) prices for the touchscreen infotainment system laced Etios Xclusive are Rs. 7.84 lakhs for the petrol engine variant and Rs. 8.93 lakh for the diesel engine one.
Now, the Toyota think tank just won’t make a single change and call it the exclusive limited edition version. So Toyota being very smart also presented the sedan with some minor as well as major changes. The new exclusive Etios will be getting chrome detailing on the ORVMs, the Xclusive Badges and brand new window visors. These changes on the exterior do add a bit of exclusivity to the overall design. The Xclusive once again being very exclusive will be presented in front of the consumers in a new colour option- the new metallic blue shade. Blue suits this beautiful car perfectly well, and as these changes brings a new freshness to the vehicle, Toyota is expecting to rake in more sales after it gets out for sale.
Talking about the insides, the interior changes are a bit more comprehensive owing to an elegant wood grain touch to the door armrests and the instrument console. The newly installed touchscreen infotainment system sits in the place of central console. The navigation system has also been provided with the vehicle. The seat fabrics get a dual tone finish and it is more comfortable than ever. Some basic safety features such as airbags have been taken directly from the standard Etios.
The engines too will remain unchained.
