The world’s automotive leader, Toyota Motors has again managed to hold its position strongly in the highly competitive global auto industry. According to the reports, Toyota Motors has been able to successfully keep its leading position in the globe’s auto market in terms of sales during the period of the first 9 months of the current year of 2013. Toyota has managed to keep the crown of the world’s top selling car maker by keeping its greatest rival General Motors at bay.
The Japanese car giant, Toyota Motors has reportedly sold a total of 7.41 million cars till the month of September, this year which has altered slightly from the sales figures of the year 2012. On the other hand, the American auto major, General Motors has reported that the company has managed to sell a total 7.25 million vehicles, which has accounted for a sales rate jump of 4.6 percent as compared against the sales rate of the previous year.
Toyota Motors has also reported a massive sales volume of 2.5 million cars in the previous quarter comprising of the time period between the months of July to September, which has considerably helped the Japanese auto behemoth to hold on to its leading position.
The most important factor behind the massive sales volume growth for Toyota is the strong demand for the Toyota vehicles in the car market of the U.S. The American car consumers have very strong liking for some of the patent Toyota car brands such as the iconic Camry, Corolla and the Tundra. The company revealed that the increasing popularity of these important brands from the house of Toyota in the auto market of America has resulted in the massive, positive sales growth.
Moreover, being a Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota is always trying to make the most popular car brands in the U.S more of the local brands by producing most of the units in the company’s manufacturing facilities in U.S. Toyota believes in making a product in the location where it is mostly sold, and that is why the car maker in increasingly producing the most favored cars of the U.S consumers in their land itself. Thus, the Camry, Corolla and even the Tacoma and Tundra brands have now become almost the US car brand, as these are extremely popular and mostly produced in the U.S.
Toyota has also revealed that the stunning all new Corolla sedan’s U.S spec will be now onwards fully produced in the U.S itself. The Corolla was previously shipped to the U.S from Japan in small quantities to meet the demands, while most of the required units were manufactured in America. However, now Toyota has revealed that the company has increased the capacity of its US manufacturing plants and will be enough to suffice the yearly Corolla demands for the Corolla sedan in the car market of America.
Toyota also hopes to boost its sales volumes with the newly launched 2014 Corolla sedan, which has already got a lot of appreciation for its evolutionary styling and improved performance.
