Just prior to the big Indian festive season, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has rolled out the new updated Liva hatchback priced starting at Rs. 5.76 lakhs for its petrol trims and starting at Rs. 6.79 lakhs for its diesel models (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The new updated Liva hatchback features primarily cosmetic updates while retaining its previous technical specs. The car model comes with a striking dual tone paint job along with a contrasting black colored roof and pillars. The black color treatment also extends to the newly added rear roof spoiler, the front radiator grille as well as the Outside Rear View Mirror caps. This dual color scheme surely adds a certain sportiness to the hatchback’s exterior visual appeal. The newly launched updated Toyota Etios Liva hatchback model also flaunts new stylish 15 inch diamond cut alloy wheels
Along with sporty appeal on the outside, the new updated Liva hatch comes with an updated interior as well. The cabin of the hatchback also makes use of cosmetic updates to offer a more premium look and feel to the buyers. The new Liva’s cabin features classy wooden finish on its dashboard making it look different and up-market. Toyota has also bestowed the new updated hatchback model with a new audio system with Bluetooth capability as well as a stylish new quality fabric upholstery for the seats that also come in dual tone color scheme.
In terms of safety features, the new Toyota Liva comes packed with the safety measures of front dual SRS airbags, seatbelts with pre-tensioner as well as force limiter for the front passengers. The updated new hatchback model also comes with a manufacturer warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 kilometers, whichever is the first.
On the event of the launch of the new updated Toyota Liva hatchback, Toyota Kirloskar Motor India’s senior vice president, Akitoshi Takemura said that the company constantly endeavors to upgrade its offerings at par with the changing requirements as well as lifestyle preferences of the customers, and with the Etios Series having received Most Promising Brand of 2015, the company is confident that the New Liva will be successfully able to further delight the company’s valued customers during this auspicious period.
The Toyota Liva is based on the Etios sedan and was formerly called the Etios Liva. However, with the car’s previous update, Toyota removed the Etios moniker in order to give the Liva a fresh start. Despite being very capable, the Etios range from Toyota has not been able to make a great market in the Indian car market. With the launch of the new sporty looking updated Liva, the Japanese car major is certainly hoping to boost the hatchback’s sales taking advantage of the positive customer spirit during the festive period.
The Liva facelift is equipped with the same 1.2 liter petrol motor offering 79 bhp of power and 104 Nm of torque; and the 1.3 liter CRDi diesel motor delivering 67 bhp and 170 Nm. Both the engines are paired to 5 speed manual transmission.
