The new Toyota Yaris has become even more alluring with a more engaging and stylized exterior design language. The enhanced good looks have extended on the inside of the car as well, as the 2014 Yaris gets plusher interiors with more up-market fit and finish.

The new Toyota Yaris Sport model also features a very nice and usefull panoramic glass roof, which is optional and comes with an additional cost. The new Yaris also comes with 16 inch alloy wheels as standard to offer better looks and enhanced ride quality.

The rear headroom of the car has been enhanced, while the smart rear seats offer split fold function to expand the already large cargo space.

The new 2014 Yaris is really new, as Toyota has incorporated 1,000 new parts into it. However, the Japanese car giant offered nothing to adjust the steering wheel which feels too far away from the driver.

The Yaris’ 1.3 liter engine is also not as refined as that of the other Toyota cars. It vibrates and roars a bit with higher speeds. However, Toyota is all set to put it right with a new Yaris version powered by the Aygo 1.0 liter engine which is more able.

2015 Toyota Yaris facelift Europe

Though the Toyota Yaris is available in two petrol trims with 1.0 liter and 1.5 liter along with 1.4D-4D diesel option, only the 1.5 liter option is available in local markets with output of 107 hp followed by torque of 141 Nm. Rear taillights in right angle shape have now been redesigned with stylish LED and stop lamps with diffuser function and chrome spoiler above number plate section. Its rear antenna is now shaped like a shark fin and roof spoiler above rear windshield gives the car a smart appearance.

To maintain its control and balance on well laid roads and rough terrain Toyota has equipped the new Yaris with revised suspension system and better interior insulation to reduce exterior ambient noise. In European markets Toyota is planning to present the Yaris with hybrid model too which like diesel and petrol variants will have modern music system with FM/CD/USB/MP3 along with Bluetooth compatibility. New interior comforts now include redesigned dashboard along with larger 7.2 inch touchscreen on central console which is connected to Toyota’s Link entertainment system and SiriusXM Satellite radio. Both steering wheel and seats are covered in leather while adjustable driver’s seat provides comfort to driver on long trips. Toyota’s engineers have improved overall layout and retuned the engine of new Yaris to provide better mileage and comfort to passengers across all temperature levels as it has also been provided with climate controlled air-conditioning system.

2015 Toyota Yaris facelift Europe

The product manager of Toyota’s European wing, Alessandro Massimino said that the Yaris has been always extremely strong in all the logical aspects. With this new model refresh, the company wanted to not only connect the vehicle with the customers’ brains, but with their hearts as well.

Toyota has tweaked the hatchback’s suspension as well by endowing new springs and fine tuned dampers for a finer drive quality, while the power steering wheel has been made more responsive. Under the hood, the new facelift Yaris gets powered by the same engine range consisting of a 1 and 1.33 liter petrol engines, a 1.4 liter diesel engine and a top of the range hybrid powertrain. All the engines get fine tuned with lessened noise and vibration levels.

The features list for the new 2014 Toyota Yaris includes Toyota’s Touch 2 multimedia system, leather seats, LED daytime-running lights, reverse camera with parking assist, auto-folding exterior mirrors, dual-zone climate control and cruise control.

The new Toyota Yaris, which is also known as the Vitz in the company’s home market Japan is a facelift version. Coming back to the lower emission rates of the diesel Yaris that makes the new 2014 model so special, the 1.4 litre D-4D diesel engine of the Yaris has managed to cut down its CO2 emission levels from 104g per kilometre to the current 99g per kilometre, which means that it now falls under the VED band A. Toyota has also revealed earlier that the company has been able to reduce the development cost of the car considerably and wishes to reduce the production cost by half again by the year 2020. The FCV sedan from Toyota is going to a fully mass produced car and will have the range to run for about 500 kilometers on full tank and take about 3 minutes to replenish its tanks fully.

Apart from the highly talked about FCV model, Toyota is expected to bring in new hybrid models including the much awaited next-gen Prius Hybrid. According to Toyota, the all new Prius Hybrid is also going to debut the company’s all new design language as well.

He also added by saying that the new Toyota Yaris comes after having going through a complete re-designing in order to ensure better space and comfort for the customers. In the mean time, Toyota Motor is on its way to develop and launch a great many new and novel cars in the world’s auto industry. At the ongoing 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota has already charmed the audience with its upcoming Fuel Cell Vehicle, FCV concept car that is due for a 2015 launch. Moreover, the Japanese auto leader has also displayed a lot of other vehicles that includes the future ready FV2 concept vehicle and some Japan exclusive future launches as well.

According to information provided by (BoI), Board of Investment, the company’s engineering team will discuss the 2^nd phase of development. The investment that will go into the manufacture of the car at this stage will be around 30 to 40 billion Baht.

In 2007, the Yaris was in its 1^st phase of manufacture, and expenditure released was about 28.8 billion Bhat. The 1^st phase development was carried out by a combined unit of established auto manufacturers like Suzuki, Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Mitsubishi. The pooling in of many auto heads, yielded significant production capacities of around 585,000 pieces on an annual basis.

The applications for 2^nd phase production scheme should be submitted to Board of Investment by the end period of March next year. After the proposal is approved by mid 2014, investment formats will be formatted by 2015.

Those who are in charge of the 1^st phase of manufacture of the fresh Yaris car can apply for extension in 2^nd segment. The extension procedure will incur capital investment costs of around 5 billion baths; this is exclusive of land revenues.

The upcoming Yaris has to be engineered in a way that it maneuvers with a mileage of 4.3 liters within a distance of 100kilometers. This is for the 1^st phase of manufacture. The engine volume cannot go past 1,500cc and 1,300cc for diesel and petrol models.

Authorities have formulated the program in a way that a tax free break is offered for 6 years, and there incentives will be offered to source local components.

As the EcoCars are required to offer a minimum fuel efficiency of 20 km per liter and should not have more than 120g/km of CO2 emission, Toyota has equipped the new Yaris with the CVT automatic transmission to offer a class leading 22.2 km per liter fuel economy.

According to a Toyota dealer, the new car will have 4 model trims of G, E, J and J Eco. Toyota will offer dual airbags as standard across all trims, and off course prices will vary from trim to trim owing to greater convenience features. The price list of the car is not out as yet.
